Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin

What reimbursements are we intitled to?

My husband and I were involved in a traffic accident and our vehicle was a total lose. It was the other drivers fault. Resulting from this we have had to rent a vehicle, I was taken to the hospital for knee injuries, there-by missing a day of work, and also had to purchase a new vehicle. We were informed from the finance person at the dealership we should be reimbursed for the sales tax on our new vehicle. Is this true? and also what about the rental, days work, and and medical bills? Any responses would be appreciated.

Re: What reimbursements are we intitled to?

Assuming that the adverse driver was 100% at

fault, and that his insurer is willing to

admit that fact (which is not always the case),

you should indeed recieve reimbursement

for sales tax. You should also recieve

compensation for temporary loss of use of

your vehicle, at least through such time

as the insurer makes you an offer. In terms

of damages other than property damage, you

should also get reimbursement for all

medical bills, wage loss, pain and suffering,

and disability, both permenant and temporary.

There are other items of compensation which

are available depending upon your specific

situation. Feel free to send a private e-mail for more in depth evaluation.
