Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin
2 unmarried people bought a house together. one no longer wants the other in the house. what are the options?

The person who is remaining in the house should negotiate to buy out the one who no longer wants it. While it is difficult to enforce such agreements if a cash payment is not possible, it is still good to develop an understanding, for example, for the person remaining to take over all mortgage payments in consideration of the departing person's agreement to later reimburse for payments beyond that person's share when the house eventually sells. You should definitely obtain legal assistance for these negotiations, however, since it is difficult to predict all the details which need to be addressed in order to protect the departing party without extensive real estate law experience.
