Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin
My ex girlfriend has had her stuff here for the past 16 mounts, she wont make arrangements to get it. When is it considered abandoned? Thank you.

Before you dispose if the property, I would recommend sending a certified letter telling the ex of your plans and giving her a final opportunity to pick it up. It any of it is valuable and you sell it, you should also retain the sale proceeds for a reasonable period of time. There is also legal precedent for charging storage fees after excessive time has passed and paying those from sale proceeds.
