Once the judge confirms the sheriff's sale after a foreclosure, he or she may also sign a writ of assistance, which is more or less the same as an eviction order. While sheriff department policies vary from county to county, the deputies in Racine will normally start with a courtesy visit to serve the notice and give you a deadline to move out on you own. This deadline normally has to be within 10 days after the date of the writ. Please do not assume that I am your lawyer simply due to answering this question; you will need to make arrangements to retain any of the responding lawyers here before they would actually become your lawyer. If you miss the move out deadline, they will move you and put your belongings into storage You may not be able to get them back without first paying all of the eviction expenses. You are therefore far better off to make your own arrangements. You should really consult with a lawyer if you are in this situation. Not only could they easily advise you on how soon you need to be out (which might be further off than you would have guessed), but they might also be able to assist you with the other financial problems which you may have via a bankruptcy filing.
