my landlord did not return my security deposit

my landlord did not return my security deposit after i moved out, nor did he in any way attempt to contact me reguarding it. do i have any way of getting this money back? I moved out approxiamately 30 days ago

Under Wisconsin law, Landlords have twenty-one days from the date that you vacate the premises to return your security deposit or provide a written explanation of the charges against your security deposit. Their failure to return the SD or provide a written explanation exposes them to double damages, plus recovery of your attorneys' fees as well.
