Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

legally can i get out of my lease?

i signed a lease without the move in date written on it. The landlord kept verbally trying to figure out a moving date for me as they were still living in the home. no date was printed on the lease when i signed it, and i was told it was just to varify my payment of the deposit. well its been about 3 months of this switching the move in date, and nothing has been written final. i want out of the lease and would like to knoe if i legally can do this & how to go about revoking my offer to rent.

Re: legally can i get out of my lease?

A lease without a date to begin the term is probably unenforceable as lacking necessary certainty and definiteness. Written notice that the offer to rent has been revoked would probably suffice, but I'd need to review the documentation to be sure.
