Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin
LLC responsibilities
The LLC that we purchased our business from left us with a $800.00 water bill on the house we purchased. The bill was not delinquent at the time of closing, because the meter had just been read. The amount has been added to our taxes, and their LLC has been disolved. Are the people who were in the LLC still responsible or not since they are disolved.

Re: LLC responsibilities
The answer depends on your contract and its terms. Generally speaking, an LLC has limited liabilty, meaning only the LLC is liable for the debts unless there was some kind of personal guarantee.
To fully know would require a review of the contract. Based on the amount in controversy, I would imagine that is a losing proposition since you would pay a lawyer more to look at it.
Look at your contract. This may be a case for Conciliation court.
