I would recommend an appointment with an attorney to discuss all of your estate planning needs. These would include a possible living trust in order to avoid probate or title transfers upon death, as well as powers of attorney to allow someone else to make medical and financial decisions for you if you are ever disabled. Short of that, there are forms of land ownership which can easily transfer title to a survivor, although that is only a small part of the total puzzle. My comments here are not legal advice, nor do they create an attorney client relationship between us. However, you always more than welcome to contact my office to discuss retaining me or to set up a free initial consultation at my office in Racine. I also sometimes travel outside of Racine for initial consultations.
