First, I would talk with your neighbor. He may just give you the name of his insurer and you may file your claim directly with them. If that fails, you may want to have an attorney write your nieghbor and suggest the same route. If that also fails, you may have to sue your neighbor. That could be expensive and the value of your fence would have to justify the cost of the suit. Only a very small amount of legal fees are recoverable in this situation. Good luck!
