We were denied a variance for a detached garage. We have already built the building and the hight is 1 foot to high and the size is 96 sf to big. What can they do if we don't do anything?

Depending on the municipality your building is situated in, you stand a substantial chance that you may have to remove the building and pay various fines and penalties. You should see someone well versed in municipal law immediately. We have a couple such attorneys on staff, but cannot take a matter if we already happen to represent the municipality or if any other conflict exists. Good luck on getting your issue resolved.
