Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

property owners associations

I live in a subdivision that has a property owners association. We are charged a yearly fee. The association does not provide any services or benifits for the fee we are charged. I was looking to see if I can legaly not belong to such an association. I do not find it fair to pay and and not receive anything in return.

thanks
