Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin
property owners associations
I live in a subdivision that has a property owners association. We are charged a yearly fee. The association does not provide any services or benifits for the fee we are charged. I was looking to see if I can legaly not belong to such an association. I do not find it fair to pay and and not receive anything in return.
thanks

Re: property owners associations
Your legal remedies against a homeowners association
will be determined by your subdivision's recorded
rules and restrictions, which will generally contain
the associations bylaws. You need to examine them
carefully and consult with an attorney if your
still have questions.
