Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

Real Estate question in Wisconsin. I unintentionally accepted an offer to purchase my residence with two different parties one month apart.

I thought the first party was not interested anymore and signed another offer. Both are valid offers and I want the first one I signed to close. The second party with the signed offer also wants residence.

How do I void the second contract or what step should I take. Thank you, Gregg Schmidt

In most cases, a bankruptcy filing will allow you to avoid obligations under an executory co tract such as a real estate offer to purchase. Otherwise, the first of the buyers to obtain a judgment is likely to win the right to buy your property under the terms of the contract,, should the buyers decide to push things that far. Assuming that both contracts are valid and enforceable (with no technical defect that you can use to get out of them), either or both buyers could sue you for specific performance of the contract. My comments here are not legal advice, nor do they create an attorney client relationship between us. However, you always more than welcome to contact my office in Racine to discuss any additional questions which you may have or to set up a free consultation.
