This may depend upon how your title reads. Presuming it is just in the names of you two, you may be able to argue that it is held in a "partnership." In that case, you could ask a court to "partition your partnership." If the property can't be split, the court could order the property sold and the proceeds split. Just having that leverage may give you what you need to negotiate such a sale with your ex, without the need for starting such litigation.
