Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

Removal of tree growth from easement

I have a legal easement across a piece of land. I went to remove some tree growth from it to clear room for a road. I was given a ticket for theft of timber. Do I have a right to remove tree growth or do I have to have the property owner do it?

Re: Removal of tree growth from easement

You need a knowledgable attorney to review your easement and tell you how to proceed. If you have the right to remove the timber to get access, perhaps a letter from your attorney to the underlying owner may get the job done. Get some help!
