rent lease
my mother passed away and the apartment she was living in , the rental agency says we need to keep paying her rent till the lease is up

Hello,
If the estate has money to pay it (not your money, her money) and until they rent it out again (and they have to try to do, they can't just let it be vacant and collect from you.
