Transfer of Real Property Title in Wisconsin

When dissolving a partnership of real estate and the title is transfered from one partner to the other, who is responsible for the costs incurred in the title transfer? The partner signing off of the title is receiving an amount less than half of the equitable value of the real property.

Re: Transfer of Real Property Title in Wisconsin

Hello,

You give very few facts to go on, but there is no law as to who pays for what in a situation like this. The result as to who pays for what can be negotiated and agreed upon by the parties, including legal fees or title costs.

Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney
