Wisconsin has an extensive body of case law

regarding water rights. While in the past, a

simple answer was that water was a "common enemy"

and could be diverted, that has been substantially

modified in recent years. You would need to provide

additional information regarding if you are in a

subdivision, subject to flood plain requirements, etc.
