Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Wisconsin

Responding to allegations of Sexual Harassment

I have been accused of offending a female employee of a company I represent. The implication was that it was sexual harassment. I have been asked to write a letter apologizing for my actions, but am not being told what this person found offensive.

I would like to know what rights I have as the accused, and what I should avoid in regards to uninformed admission of wrongdoing?

I have submitted a letter apologizing for hurting this persons feelings. Is this appropriate?

Re: Responding to allegations of Sexual Harassment

Hello,

The situation you describe is very risky for you. It is bad legally and from a job standpoint. You should very dipolamtically find out what it is that was offensive, and if necessary, consult legal counsel.

Best wishes,
