Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Wisconsin
student sexual harrassment?
My son was ''pantsed'' at school and left standing in the hallway with pants and boxers around his ankles. Can we charge the other student with sexual harrassment?

Re: student sexual harrassment?
Generally speaking, no. The matter should be reported to the principal. If the principal/school fails to take or make any corrective action and the same behavior continues, then there might be a cause of action against the school. Currently, your son may have a civil battery claim.
The sexual harassment laws, however, generally only pertain to protection someone from sexual harassment from an employer or certain people in the control of a governmental entity.
There is also a whole body of what is called "School Law" with which I am not particularly familiar. A school lawyer would be better equipped to tell you about this matter further.
A good source of general "sexual harassment" information is the state's Equal Rights Division:
