You say that you were revoked for Prohibited alcohol content, which is the same thing for most legal purposes). Driving after revocation for this reason leads to more severe punishment than revocations for other reasons such as, for example, being revoked due to too many demerit points on ones driving record or failure to pay a fine., all as an added punishment for the drunken driving. While anyone who is charged with driving after revocation would benefit by getting their driver's license reinstated (both in order to prevent future charges and to seek leniency for the current charge), it is particularly critical in your case. The judge may have added concerns such as how well you are doing in your rehab treatment, known as a "Driver Improvement Plan" by the DOT, or whether or not you are maintaining sobriety. For these reasons, it is extra important that you retain an experienced criminal lawyer to assist you with this charge. You mention that the officer wrote down a description of a different car than your car on the citation. I do not know whether or not this may be helpful to you in defending your case because you do not state whether you were driving your car or someone elses. Officer errors can sometimes assist in ones defense, if that defense involves challenging the officers credibility. However, in many cases, officer credibility may not really be much of an issue, for example, when prosecution does not depend upon any particular officer judgments such as whether you were drunk or speeding.
