Regardless of where your license is from, if you are convicted of a WI offense the WI DMV will begin a file keeping track of your demerit points and revoke your right to drive here if you incur too many points. Depending upon which state your license is from, WI DMV actions may or may not influence your state to take the same action. WI has reciprocity agreements with many nearby states. Additionally, one you have permanently moved here, WI requires you to get a WI license eventually.
