Legal Question in Traffic Law in Wisconsin
I pled not guilty to 3 tickets I have which were a hit and run ,not having proof of insurance and not having insurance ... Next step I guess is a conference with a city attorney .. Do I still need to get a lawyer or public defender to represent me at this conference

Yes, any time that you value either your freedom or your right to drive, you should have an attorney handle all citations. Hit and run can be a jail offense or evene a felony, so it is still a serous matter. Unless you are an attorney yourself or have extensive legal or law enforcement experience, you will likely lack the knowledge necessary to protect yourself, even in traffic court.
