Legal Question in Traffic Law in Wisconsin
Question Regarding How to Re-Open a Case
I was wondering if anyone could please help me. I am under 21 and received 2 moving violation tickets (15 mph over speed limit and failure to stop at a red light) and a parking ticket. I never went to court and when pulled over in IL (I have a WI driver's license) I was made aware that my license is suspended (I went over my points I guess). Now my driving abstract says that I am suspended until January, 2004. I've already paid any fines that I had waiting (license suspended for ''failure to pay forfeiture'') and now I'm wondering how to go about getting my license reinstated. Please help! Also, do suspensions all transfer state-to-state?
Thank You,
Maggie

Re: Question Regarding How to Re-Open a Case
Dear Maggie;
Since I am not a Wisconsin attorney, I can only say that you should engage a Wisconsin attorney to help you since you have a WI Drivers' License. I believe that both Illinois and Wisconsin are members of the Interstate Compact. GOOD LUCK!
