Legal Question in Traffic Law in Wisconsin

Recently fell asleep while driving and my car went off the road and hit a tree. I was drinking so I got an owi and failure to keep vehicle under control. The one I’m questioning is operating to the left of the center line. The tree I hit was off the right side of the road and the witness said that cops weren’t even there for at least 20 or 30 minutes after the crash. So how would they be able to infer that that even happened? Just wondering if I can fight that charge and what the odds of me winning would be. Thanks.

Regrettably, it does not matter what really happened if you don't fight the citation, because you will be found guilty by default. Get an attorney before your default date if you are serious about fighting this or any other traffic matter. Reopening cases after conviction is far more expensive and uncertain than before the court date.
