Legal Question in Traffic Law in Wisconsin
revocation of license
Hi My husbands drivers licence was suspended due to failure to pay tickets, the tickets have been taken care of, however they now say his lack of points will not let him get a license until may 2004, but now they say he is a hibutial offender because 2 offenses happened in the same year, and he can not quailify to get a occupational or regualar license until oct of 2005. They said we can appeal to the court. is there anything we can do to get his license back sooner.
thanks
Angie

Re: revocation of license
This is a very common situation. The only solution I know of is to attempt to reopen some of the old tickets. This can be difficult, depending upon the local practices of the jurisdiction where the tickets were issued. By reopening enough, you can become "un-revoked" and reinstate. Then, you still face the daunting task of begging for a deal on the reopened matters which will avoid the revocations. You will probably need an attorney for all this unless you have legal experience yourself. Good luck!
