credit card debt benificiary responsiblity

my daughters father is terminally ill. he has a very large credit card debt. will this debt become part of the estates responsiblity to take care of? she will be inheriting his home and possessions and i don't know if she will be ''inheriting'' his credit card debt also.

It would appear that the decedent's debt will become a debt of his estate when he dies, and his assets will become assets of his estate. There are planning methods to avoid this, but timing may be critical. There is also a concern regarding lack of consideration if the assets are transferred without adequate value coming back to the estate. This is a complicated issue and you should consider meeting with a competent attorney.
