If document states that it never terminates and no will-is it still in effect after deathe?

A power of attorney by definition is a document that allows a person to appoint another person to act for them as their agent...ONLY when alive. In Illinois, the only exception relates to the handling of a body post-death. The agent still has authority to deal with that issue.
