Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Wisconsin
Multiple Executors or Representatives
My parents each have a will and both include one brother as the executor or representative. My parents are now thinking about taking this person off as executor and listing three other siblings instead. Can this be done by simply ammending their wills or would they be required under Wisconsin law to create entirely new wills? If so, when it comes time for the new executor(s) to act, do all three need to be present to sign checks and pay bills or does just one have to be present?

Re: Multiple Executors or Representatives
Formal re-execution and re-witnessing is always the best policy any time a change is being made to a will. Having multiple personal representatives is a potential recipe for confusion and conflict down the road.
