Not quite sure if I understand you question, but if you are asking about the service of legal process upon a defendant in litigation, then, the answer to your question is that we must serve anyone who is a defendant in the lawsuit in question. Papers proving personal service must then be filed with the court before the lawsuit can proceed further against that party. These rules are controlled by state of WI law.
