Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Wyoming
Responsibility of a legal gaurdian
Would a person be held responsible for the payment of funeral expenses for a person that has died, if the gaurdian was a parent of a 58 year old person? The lady that assumed gaurdianship did so because the illness required some to take over while the person that was ill was incapcitated. The gaurdian is 85 years old and is being threated with a law suit for the burial expenses of her deceased 58 year old daughter.

Re: Responsibility of a legal gaurdian
Yes, if the paperwork appointing the guardianship so specified or if you signed documents at the funeral home indicating you would be responsible.
