Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wyoming
Probation release
I have a court paper that states--name removed--is to have his probation extended for one year or untill he has paid off his restitution in full. i have paid my restitution off but my probation officer won't let me off is there anything i can do to get off?

You will need to file a motion with the Court to be released from your probation. Don't forget to get a hearing date for your motion.
If your PO has another reason you should continue on probation, i.e. a dirty UA, it is likely you will remain on probation for the full extension. Be sure to take in your receipt or call a witness to testify that they have received the full amount of restitution ordered.
