Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wyoming
Property Destruction Felony
Im have no priors and was never arrested in my life. I threw a rock at a guy's fender and he claimed it costed him over $2000 in damages. It is now a felony. Would I be able to plee that down to maybe something thats not a felony?

Re: Property Destruction Felony
Possibly. However, it depends on the District Attorney. What was your reason for throwing the rock. You can get your own estimates if you know the make, model, year and color of the car (I presume it is a car from your using "fender"). It could possibly cost $2,000.00.
However, your odds are improved if you get a good attorney to represent you. This is the price you pay for being unthoughtful and deliberative (if you do not have a legally justifiable reason for throwing the rock).
You know there is no thing as "your alleged crime is free". You do not have the right to commit an alleged crime and then expect or demand that you are entitled to a pass without any cost to you.
I hope you do not take offense to my being very direct and straight forward.
Best of Luck.
