Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wyoming

relief from felony conviction

I pled quilty to delivery of controled substance in 1997 in the state of Wyoming (one once of marijuana on two seperate occations). sentence was court cost, 2 years probation, and the felony. (no time served in jail)(the judge refused all plea bargans for reduced sentence).I have no convictions before of after this incident. My question is about the possibility of reinstating rights, mainly voting and gun possesion. Or the remote possibility of espongement.

any help would be appreciated, Thank you

Re: relief from felony conviction

You may never again own a firearm or other dangerous instrumentality. Period.

Even if you were able to get your conviction expunged at the state level, federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing a firearm forever. It would take a presidential pardon to get your status changed. Sorry.
