Legal Question in Family Law in Wyoming

Getting a divorce when a spouse is unlocatable.

A friend is looking to get a divorce in Casper, Wyoming. He is not able to find his wife, they have been seperated (not legally) for years. What steps would he have to take along with filing the dissolution paperwork to court, since he won't have her signature? Does he have to take out a public notice in the newspaper or send a certified letter with copies of the dissolution to her last known address? Thank you!

Re: Getting a divorce when a spouse is unlocatable.

Your friend will have to publish and in his

affidavit will need to swear he does not know where

his wife is, but her last known address was {}.

The court will send a copy of the published notice

to her by certified mail. Your friend will also need to

furnish the clerk with an envelope made out to his

wife at her last known address and stamped with postage

sufficient for it to be sent certified mail, return

receipt requested.
