Legal Question in Family Law in Wyoming

The next step in getting visitation with children

My boyfriend of two years hasent seen his children in over a year. His ex took off with them and did not inform him of a location or telephone number. They were never married and he was in the prosess of getting visitation rights, but she left before she served with the papers. He recently has found some information out on her whereabouts. She is in Wyoming and he is in Illinois. How should he go about getting rights to his children? What should his next step be? And is what she did ilegal? If so what can we do about it? Please help we are pretty clueless on what to do next.

Thank You,

Re: The next step in getting visitation with children

Unless your boyfriend can serve the mother of his children in Wyoming he will need to file a paternity action in Illinois.

As long as his paternity had not been established, she did nothing illegal in leaving and not notifying him.
