Legal Question in Insurance Law in Wyoming

Uninsured

Last week I was involved in an auto accident where a person driving a company vehicle failed to give right of way to me, causing me to broadside his truck. I reported this to my insurance company who told me my insurance had been cancelled 3 days previous due to non payment. I guess I overlooked this piece of mail because I didn't realize that this was the case. Anyway, even though this accident was in no way my fault, am I out of luck for filing a claim from his insurance company?

Re: Uninsured

You should check Wyoming law about how much prior written notice your insurer must give before cancelling. And if the other party was at fault, then unless Wyoming prohibits non-economic damages by uninsured motorists, your rights are not affected.
