Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wyoming

Wyoming Improvement District

Without any authority The improvement district has taken it on themselves to change the covenants with a mail vote in violation of the original covenants which state ''said covenants autimatically extend for successive periods of ten years unless an instrument signed by a majority of the tracts has been recorded agreeing to change said covenants in whole or in part'' What do I sue for as there are no money damages but they have recorded the new covenants?? I want the new covenants voided until they are changed following the procedure outlined in the old covenants.

Re: Wyoming Improvement District

It is possible to file what's called a declaratory judgment action, where instead of damages, one seeks a declaration from the court of the parties' rights under a given set of facts. Of course, before deciding to so proceed, you should confer with your lawyer regarding whether, under the circumstances, this is the best way to meet your needs.
