Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

i was working as a freelancer in one of the real estate firm. I was working on basis of trust only therefore i am not having any credit notes. But i am having mails, copies of cheques, revenue excel sheets and communication wherein i have requested that guy for sending me credit note and having his reply also wherein he has replies i will send it in 2-3 days..my wife is pregnent and next month she is having delievery i have requested this guy very humbly that please issue my credit notes and give my dues...in fact my father is also retired. i am elder in family. i was working with this firm for last three years in Gurgaon. Even i have requested this guy that dont give me money right now but atleast issue my credit notes but he is simply cutting my phone and now he has send me sms that talk to me next month...i mean he is showing lot of attitude and his intention has changed..sometime i feel i am helpless and many of my friends have advised that there will not be any results if i take legal action...but if i am right at my place cant i get justice...is there not ray of hope...that i can get just...should i forget my heard earned money...i am very much clueless what should i do..kindly advise if i can get justice??
