Dear Sir / Madam,

Most of the colleges are aided by the University Grants Commission and their fees are a pittance. You should go and meet your college Principal and tell him / her that Mithibai College in Mumbai charges the following fees :

Rs.330/- (Rupees Three Hundred Thirty Only) for a full-term (two half yearly semesters) of First Year Junior College (FYJC) Commerce & Arts for boys. Rs. 30/- per year for girls.

Rs. 405/- (Rupees Four Hundred Five Only) for a full-term (two half yearly semesters) of First Year Junior College (FYJC) Science for boys. Rs. 35/- for girls.

Rs. 1,725/- (Rupees One Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-five Only) for First Year Junior College - M.C.V.C for boys. Rs. 1,345/- for girls.

And for those who foolishly wish to join unaided courses (which nobody really joins these days, because they practice these on their home computer) in the college, the fees are :

Rs. 15,025 (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Twenty-Five Only) for F.Y.J.C. Electronics.

Rs. 20,000 (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) for F.Y.J.C. Computer Science.

Since you have not mentioned the actual course that you are undergoing in your college, and whether you are a boy or a girl, use the above as a benchmark / guideline to speak to your college Principal. Also show my reply to him / her.
