Legal Question in Family Law in India

We have differences in our relationship and we want to get separate by mutual consent. According to the law we have to live apart for at least 1 year before filing for Divorce. My Question - Can we live together in a flat with no relations during this 1 year period? Will that be acceptable to the court?
