I got married in 2013 at the age of 20, i was married within my family relation from my mother's side. my parents have paid a heavy amount as gift demanded by them. now all my jewelries and money are with them. after marriage i realized that my husband and his family has lied to me about his job and everything else. i had to live my engineering in between because of marriage and they never allowed me to go out of the house for job. my husband is extremely abusive and egoist in nature. he treats me like a slave. though he never directly hit me physically but many a times he threatened to beat me. mental and verbal abuse has become an everyday matter. he never let me even talk to my friends not even girls. slowly i realized that this man is cheating on me. he repeatedly goes to Bangkok Pattaya Goa and many other places without informing me or lying to me and his mother used to support him in this. all his properties are in his mothers name, and his incomes are not transparent to me. i have some proofs against him. he is threatening me of buying lawyers and judges.
now i am clueless, what should i do? i do not have any experience and my studies are not complete, i do not have a job and parents are in financial crisis.

1) First discuss in the presence of family elders and try for reconciliation.
2) Preserve all sms, fb, msgs, recordings in safe custody for future.
3) Hv u listed all the streedhan and gifts given by your parents, before during and after marriage? If not prepare and keep separate at least the list with ur parents.
4) If he fails to modify his behaviour and continue to treat with mental cruelty, u may hv to file 498A, DV cases against them as a last resort.

U can also file domestic violence case against him for mental harassment and ask yr jwelery back from him. Also ask protection order in domestic violence case.
