Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

My son's father passed away. My son was always told he had a life insurance policy in his name. Father had remarried and said his father did not include son is any benefits. Can my son, check to see if he qualifies for a child's part? He is 35 years old with two children?

I am not sure I understand the question. If your son's father had a life insurance policy the father would decide who got the benefit of the policy. I don't know what a "child's part" is; unless the policy is payable to the estate of the father. Please rephrase your question and include all the facts.
