Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Court Summons

My husband told me he has a court summons against me for taking my children out of state. He said I had to be back in the state within 24 hours or I could be arrested. He says now if I take the children out of state it is a criminal act. Is this true? We are still legally married. What do I have to do if I do have a court summons against me?

Re: Court Summons

I can explain these issues better by phone or in person. Unless he filed for Dissolution BEFORE you left, then he otherwise can only seek an appropriate Order requiring your return, which would not be called a "summons".

As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please e'mail me via our website to discuss the specifics of your case, or to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
