Civil Judgements

If an individual has Civil Judgements against them recorded by the Maricopa County Recorders Office, do these Judgements ever expire? Refinancing is not an option through the bank because of these Judgements. However, I read certain Judgements become unenforceable after a lapse of time from origination or recording unless a foreclosure suit is filed. Where can I find the answer to clear this up?
