Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

rental property

I own a house in Arizona. We rented it to a friend with no lease agreement. He decided to take off without any notice or any phone calls. He has never returned a call after moving out. We have never heard from him again and did not even know he left. He did not pay rent, the pool grew algea which cost moeny to fix, and the power bill went unpaid. I was wondering what, if any, legal right we have to try to recoup the lost moeny. It has cost us over $2000.

Re: rental property

If you can not find him, what good is a judgment against him? Obviously he owes you rent until you found out he had left plus 30 days notice, and the cost of any abnormal usage or damage. If you think you will find him, you could sue in Arizona.
