Yes, it will. If the judgment was already converted into a lien on property you might have, that is another issue, but their ability to take any further collection effort no longer exists.

Yes unless it is a judgment for a debt in which there were proven allegations of fraud, intentional injury by you or accident injuries where you were DUI, if the judgment creditor objects to your discharge. If an Abstract of Judgment was recorded then there is a lien against any real estate you own in the county and you might be able to void that lien in bankruptcy also. Make sure you hire an experienced bankruptcy attorney near your home.
