Legal Question in Business Law in California

I would like to sell advertising on my web site. But I have a customer who would like to by all my advertising. I have a board member that says that is not legal. Please help. Is it legal to sell one space on all page pages to one company?

I know of no reason why selling 100% of your advertising space to a single customer would be illegal.

It would help if you set forth the board member's specific concerns. There may be something about the arrangement that is troubling him or her, but I discern nothing in what you wrote that would be in and of itself illegal.

I would agree with the attorney above. I don't see any reason why it would be unlawful to sell 100% of your advertising space to a single advertiser. I have structured hundreds of advertising agreements for many internet property and I never seen exclusivity alone to be a problem, in fact it can be a leverage. Feel free to contact me should you have any additional questions or concerns.

There is no state wide legal prohibition on how much advertising space you can sell, but I disagree with the prior two attorneys. I would have to know more details, such as whether the board is for a corporation that is governed by specific by laws, or if there is a project involved that may impact any local ordinances or restrictions.
