Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Can I use video that I shot at a tennis facility on my website?

I was wondering if its legal to use video footage that I shot at a tennis stadium of pros practicing. Can I use my footage and picture on a membership fee site?

I don't think so. This isn't really computer and technology law, but touches more on the areas of privacy tort and intellectual property.

I think the issue is whether the pictures are newsworthy, or whether you are commercially exploiting the likeness of the players. Sure sounds like the latter.

Also, check the terms of your admission to the event. It may contain prohibitory language.

I think you need a license or other agreement with the pros and maybe the club also.
