Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Collecting from Judgment Debtor

I have a large judgment. I had a Writ of Execution issued and before it was served, opposing counsel found out and the debtor closed his checking account. I am trying to find a PI to pay to locate the account and they either can't do it or want $1500. Most PI's don't have the courtey to respond. This is a 20K debt. Debtor's paycheck is already garnished for child support so I can't go that route. He has no real property, only a big paycheck. Any suggestions?
